1. How redemption works
Your reward balance is a record of the prizes you have won, denominated in US dollars. When you choose to cash out, we redeem part or all of your balance as a digital gift card:
- Cash-out minimum. You can request a cash-out once your reward balance reaches $5.00. Redemptions are available in fixed denominations (for example $5, $10, and $25).
- Choose a card. At cash-out you select from the gift-card brands we offer at the time — for example Amazon, Visa, Target, or Starbucks. Available brands and denominations are shown in-product and may change.
- Delivery. The gift card is delivered by email to the verified email address on your account. For your security, we send the card only to that verified address — never to an address supplied at the time of a request.
2. Third-party issuer
Gift cards are issued and fulfilled by a third-party gift-card provider and by the individual brand issuers, not by Square Off. Each card is subject to the terms and conditions of the brand that issues it, which accompany the card and govern how it can be used. Those terms may include activation steps, regional restrictions, and conditions on use. Square Off is not the issuer of any gift card and does not control the terms of the underlying brands.
3. Value, expiry, and restrictions
- No independent cash value. A gift card has no cash value independent of the issuer’s terms. It is not a bank deposit, does not earn interest, and is not redeemable for cash except where the issuer’s terms or applicable law require it.
- Non-transferable balance. Your reward balance is personal to your account and is not transferable to another person. Once redeemed, a gift card is governed by the issuer’s terms, including any rules on transferring or combining cards.
- Expiry and fees. Some gift cards may carry expiry dates or fees set by the issuer, subject to applicable consumer-protection law. Check the terms that accompany your card.
- Region and brand availability. A particular brand or denomination may not be available in your location, and the line-up may change at any time.
4. Verification and review
To protect against fraud and abuse, we may require identity, age, or location verification before processing a cash-out, and may apply manual review or holding periods. We process the redemption only after the prize value is confirmed in your authoritative balance — you can never redeem more than you have genuinely earned. Prize credits obtained through bugs, errors, or prohibited conduct may be reversed before or after a redemption request, as set out in our Terms and Anti-Fraud & Fair Play policy.
5. If something goes wrong
If a redemption is debited from your reward balance but a card is not successfully created, we restore the balance so you are made whole, or we re-issue the card. If a card you received does not work, first check the issuer’s terms and support channel, since the issuer operates the card. If the issue is on our side, contact us at contact@squareoff.gg and we will help resolve it.
6. Taxes
Redeeming a gift card does not change your tax obligations. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to prizes you earn — see our Tax & Prize Reporting page.
7. Changes
We may update these Gift-Card Terms and the available brands, denominations, and thresholds from time to time. When we change this page we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
